What we collect

When you use ByePhone, we collect:

  • Account information (name, email) when you sign up
  • Call recordings and transcripts for calls made through the Service
  • Call metadata (duration, phone number called, outcome)
  • Your preferences and feedback to improve your agent

How we use your data

Your data is used to:

  • Provide call transcripts and recordings for your review
  • Improve the quality and accuracy of the AI agent
  • Send you post-call summaries via text message
  • Remember your preferences for future calls

We do not sell your data to third parties. Call recordings are never shared outside of ByePhone.

Private Mode (Zero Data Retention)

ByePhone offers a "Private Mode" you can enable at any time. When active:

  • Call recordings are deleted immediately after the call ends
  • Transcripts are not stored
  • No call data is used for training or improvement
  • Only basic metadata (call duration, date) is retained for your call history

You can toggle Private Mode on or off from your account settings. Turning it on does not affect previously stored calls — only future ones.

Data storage & security

All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Call recordings and transcripts are stored securely and access is restricted to you and authorized ByePhone systems.

Your rights

You can at any time:

  • Request a copy of all your data
  • Delete your account and all associated data
  • Enable Private Mode to stop data retention going forward
